“For twenty years I have stuck my images in albums, small blocks of paper bound without a cover. These are my carnets: a diary without a word. They are sometimes grouped by theme, by chronology, by association of ideas, by place. I like to bring together images that have, a priori, no reason to coexist — small projects born of sleepless nights, sketches, coincidences in the lab, random proposals, biases. These numbered and regular carnets constitute, over time, the story of a visual journey.”
