Poems by Kazuko Shiraishi
Text by Ikuya Kato
In 1971 Eikoh Hosoe worked with Yotsuya Simon as his subject, wandering through the places tied to his own memories: Ishikawadai in Ota Ward, the Nakamise arcade in Asakusa, the area around Senso-ji, Hanayashiki Street and the Azumabashi bridge over the Sumida. Hosoe described the result as a record of his memories from youth.
It opens with two poems by Kazuko Shiraishi and closes with a text by Ikuya Kato.
