“Fordlandia” is a voyage of (de)colonisation in which the British artist continues her aesthetic investigation into the drifts and detours of modernity in uncertain places, away from whatever their imaginaries were. Here she turns to (un)exploring the Amazon interplaying the tensions between industrial and natural landscape, between the living and the machine. Conceived as an illustrated log of the conversation between artist and curator, and accompanied by a philosophical essay about the forms of mere life and the saved night, “Fordlandia” poses and historico-political question about the sense world in contemporaneity.
