Polish Pavilion, XLVII International Biennale of the Visual Arts, Venice, 12 June to 9 November 1997
Guide published by Zachęta, the Gallery of Contemporary Art in Warsaw, for the Polish Pavilion at the XLVII International Biennale of the Visual Arts in Venice (12 June to 9 November 1997), where Zofia Kulik presented All the Missiles Are One Missile. The work is a large photo-carpet (1993, about 3 × 8.5 metres) whose title paraphrases a line by T. S. Eliot, "All the women are one woman"; it was first shown in Poland in 1993 and the Venice presentation was its international debut.
