Born from an invitation by the Museum of Hunting and Nature in Paris, the project turns hunting into another kind of pursuit: the “hunt for love” conducted for over a century through matrimonial ads in newspapers. The anonymous material echoes the investigation, observation and cataloguing that run through the artist’s work, and the accumulation of thousands of ads draws a map of expectations, projections and loneliness.
