On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Taschen, this book presents overlapping perspectives from the artist's previous books with new works on over 500 pages. A retrospective edited from the previous four — Wolfgang Tillmans (1995), Burg (1998), Truth Study Center (2005) and Neue Welt (2012) — it ranges from early portraits of his friends to still lifes, travel shots, nudes, landscape and sky photographs, and his abstract work. Tillmans himself compiled this edition, partly redesigned it, added recent works and wrote a new foreword.
