Published on the occasion of the eponymous exhibition at SKWAT KAMEARI ART CENTRE, Tokyo. co-curated by Christophe Daviet-Thery and Pierre Hourquet.

The catalogue of a curatorial project devoted to the artist's books and magazines: an inventory that invites the reader to take a different look at his work in print. The collection gathered here is enough to show the importance of printed matter in that work, which is best understood alongside the installation of his exhibitions, an integral part of the practice: the pictures are never placed together by chance, they resonate with one another like a constellation, and scale and the space between them play a decisive role.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
