Following her work in Morocco, "sans conte, ni légende", Catherine Poncin explores albums within families of Maghrebi immigrant origin in France (Miramas, in Provence). Through this new research she explores and records the memory of beings and materials. Travelling beyond the two shores, the sensitive surface of the prints of the 1950s resists, those of the 1970s age, turn blue, yellow, and those of the grandparents sometimes fade. When the signs disappear from the supports, others are reinvented. All these images are inscribed in a perpetual flux and reflux, back and forth, confusing places, shores, languages, rites and hearts.
