Synopsis: "He or she speaks to the camera. Frontally, framed in bust, it is the distance of conversation, neither too close nor too far, the right distance to receive their words. The framing recalls the portrait in painting. The space behind them is indeterminate, abstract. Each speech is a confidence that brings to light cruelty, enjoyment, shame, dismay, guilt, buried wounds, frustration, strangeness. These fictions were born of lived situations that remained frozen in memory because they were the source of discomfort or disturbance. Have the story replayed and the anecdote becomes dizzying; one begins to fabricate one's own images, to circulate in the human meanders." Each of these monologues is embodied by an actor who seems to deliver his soul by delivering a very intimate and personal memory, a hidden part of himself. When the film begins, the viewer may wonder whether it is documentary or fiction: are these personal confidences of each speaker or monologues spoken by actors? The monologues are performed by Hiam Abbas, Simon Abkarian, Marc Berman, Georges Bigot, Maryline Canto, Bruno Lochet, Clémentine Mazzoni, Serge Merlin, Philippe Rebbot, Catherine Schaub-Abkarian and Geneviève Tenne.
