Six photographers, six notebooks, six perspectives: Dominique Journet Ramel, Emma Rose, Huynh Nguyen, Prune Paycha, Philippe Evenou and Isabelle Rivière. The third edition of the Punctum series focuses on the fateful threshold between our inner and outer worlds. Six people walk the tightrope between past, present and future, real and imaginary, each expressing a vision of the world through the prism of their own perception. Emma Rose transforms everyday life into dreams of a childhood spent in dance and music, peopled by poets, romance and reverie; Huynh Nguyen, of Cambodian origin, reproduces her colourful childhood in the tropics, confronted with her recent discovery of Vietnam, a vaguely familiar land told through her family's story; Philippe Evenou's night walks through his Parisian neighbourhood and other cities carry us into a David Lynch-like universe of enigmatic characters reciting strange night tales; Prune Paycha's family album reveals a melancholic journey through the family home and garden, where images of flowers mix with those of the women of her family and become metaphors of the cycle of life and passing time; Dominique Journet Ramel's elegantly staged portraits of redheads read as an autobiographical manifesto; and the Slavic feeling of nostalgia is perceived through Isabelle Rivière's images of the old quarter of Warsaw, frozen in time and miraculously spared by the war.
