Photographers present in this catalogue in connection with the Planches Contact festival in Deauville: Bruno Barbey, Brian Griffin, Corinne Mercadier, Meyer, Marion Poussier, Wang Lin and Maïa Izzo-Foulquier, together with ten young photographers: Coline Amos, Carl Bigmore, Marguerite Bornhauser, Anna Broujean, Jacques-Aurélien Brun, Younès Klouche, Kos, Ryan Nell, Jean-Vincent Simonet and Miriam Stanke. Deauville, whose identity is multiple and complex, has since its foundation in 1860 lent itself to the game of gazes and re-appropriations. In turn the first photographers, the reporters of the illustrated press, the great authors of the 1930s and 1950s, many Magnum photographers and the greatest fashion photographers have invested and rendered Deauville with the curiosity, attention and listening that allow one to be inspired and creative.
