Returning from Amiens after visiting the Musée de Picardie, where Stéphanie Mansy had made wall drawings during the museum's renovation, the author recalls the opening line of Alain Resnais's film, "You saw nothing in Hiroshima". Half in jest, because she had indeed seen nothing: at the places the artist pointed out, the walls were smooth and uniformly painted, with no trace of the drawings, surging forms, flows of lines, coloured cracks, pasted papers, suspended tracing papers and installations she had seen in photographs. The walls were empty, which was rather desolating, yet she made her own the answer of Emmanuelle Riva in the film, "I saw everything. Everything." From this void and absence she brought back an image, images, with the impression of seeing through the walls: there was nothing left to see, there was everything to see.
