This book tells the story of the Porte de Paris district in Saint-Denis during its 2014 transformation; invited by the town hall to build a project with residents around the construction of a new school, the photographer sought out those who live in the neighbourhood without necessarily residing there, who work in it, pass through it, stop in it. A studio was set up on the building site and participants were invited to a photo session, each telling their own story; sixty portraits are now displayed in the school, printed on lenticular screens that make one figure or another appear and disappear as the viewer moves, composite, fictional associations where the characters vanish, resisting our gaze like ghosts about to be caught.
