Filigranes accompanies Marilia Destot's debut publication, La promesse, three photographic notebooks gathered in a boxed set, each paired with a writer given free rein to respond to her images: Dominique A, Sabine Huynh and Keren Ann. The promesse follows, over time, her couple, her family, her child, in suspended moments and placeless atmospheres, set in dialogue and continuity like a dream-movie or photographic poem, faces, landscapes and everyday details echoing one another to trace, in watermark, the film of our memories, celebrating the small vertigos, buried fears and ordinary miracles of life from the desire for a child to motherhood and rediscovered childhood.
