For this crossing of the Massif Central, invited by the Clermont 2028 association, the photographer chose to follow route 89 through the Loire, Puy-de-Dôme and Corrèze départements between September 2021 and February 2022, using a small analogue camera with random focusing and sensitive film for a more painterly, grainy result, choosing slowness and chance stops over speed, letting encounters with the people who work, transform and inhabit these territories arise unplanned, part of the Traversée collection inviting artists to walk, sense and look at the Massif Central in the tradition of its mythical paths.
