To better grasp the man behind the art critic, writer and collector, several photographers championed by Bernard Lamarche-Vadel were asked to offer their own vision of the figure and to reflect on the photographic collection he initiated in Vitré, on any artistic or ethical disagreements they may have had with him, and on what has changed for them since their images stopped being subject to his critical eye. Contributors include Philippe Bazin, Florence Chevallier, Arnaud Claass, Bernard Plossu, Jean-Philippe Reverdot, Jean-Loup Trassard and Yves Trémorin.
