Incidences is Amaury da Cunha's third monographic book. These photographs, lifted from the author's own life, are freed from their context: they restore fleeting sensations, silent meditations, waking reveries, built like an intimate diary with no fixed timeframe. Taken across his travels near and far, from Paris and New York to Cuba, Les Saintes and Saint-Malo, the photographer catches tiny, often hidden events that raise the question of our fragility, between tenderness and unease, a poetic dimension that finds its literary form in the book's second part of short, fragmentary texts.
