Vichy is a stage set and a theatre of shadows. The Swedish photographer Anton Renborg skirted its showy villas, swaggering under their excess of ornament, approached small, secretive closed houses, and crossed paths with faces marked by time, ghosts of the Belle Époque, framing bodies barely out of childhood already eager to play at adult games.
