Edited with Luca Steiner and Giovanni Anceschi, this is Cresci's study of Albe Steiner, the designer whose work bound graphic design to political commitment and to the culture of the Italian left from the war years to the nineteen-seventies. Coming himself from the higher course in industrial design in Venice, and having worked all his life across the line between the printed mark and the picture, Cresci reconstructs a practice in which research and project were never separable.
