The catalogue is a moment of enquiry into the perception of the museum and of its function in space and time. It presents a wide series of unpublished works born from a piece of research that starts from the territory, from Palazzo dei Pio and from the town of Carpi. Continuous echoes between the architecture of the building and the objects it holds from the culture and the history of the place create a play of forms, a mapping of geometries and marks that turns attention to the cultural aspects of the territory in which the artist works. To enter a place of culture means for him to penetrate the historical and cultural mechanisms that surround it, and to take possession of them by giving back images and abstract forms that nevertheless correspond closely to the real.
