In Tropism, Consequences of a Displaced Memory, Nhu Xuan Hua goes into the power of recollection. The work gives a face to those tropisms that describe spontaneous, automatic reactions set off by strong emotions in response to past events. Working from her family's archive pictures, the digital intervention reads those memories anew, blurring, erasing and displacing the figures that carry them.
