A self-issued volume on isolation and alienation in the time of the pandemic. The Swedish photographer Theo Elias sets out a series made during a month-long residency at Tjustbygden, in the south of the country: invited to document that tiny town during the pandemic, he drew from it a volume built on the notebook he kept at the time, mixing colour and monochrome pictures and, at moments, additions of paint, under the extreme temperatures of the Swedish winter.
