Record is Stefan Dotter's first monograph, devoted to natural habitats and indigenous communities in the Amazon, in Borneo and in Madagascar. In 2021 he set out on a three-year photographic journey in order to deepen his understanding of the entanglement of people and nature, invited to document the work of Health In Harmony, a non-profit organisation that fights deforestation by listening closely to the voices and the needs of the communities living around the most endangered rainforests. The design echoes the aesthetics of natural-science documents and twentieth-century field journals.
