During a journey to Israel in 2018 the artist visited Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Acre, Haifa, Safed, Masada and Nazareth — the cradle of the three great monotheistic religions. Every corner, building, monument or ruin is a significant archive for Jews, Muslims and Christians.

Back in the complicit atmosphere of her studio, she realised that the frames recorded there were like a clay to be modelled, and that an act of intervention was required.
