"These photos were taken on Friday and Saturday nights after eleven. A window into a world where the transport system works for a crowd, in stark contrast to the weekday commuters — late-night travellers shifting into party mode after a hard week at work. Because of the confined space of the tube compartment I mostly asked permission before taking photographs, which led to all sorts of unexpected conversations and reactions, some of which were caught on film."

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
