Five internationally known photographers from around the world were invited to scrutinise Switzerland as independent and subjective observers, unrestricted by any advertising commission. Their pictures invite the viewer to see the familiar with the eyes of an outsider: the country's image has been shaped to a great extent by pictures dedicated to tourism, by spectacular mountain panoramas and snapshots of rural idyll.
