The author explores the neutral body of the referent in the image, and the result of his research is this set of narratives. Each one is developed in dialogue with other authors and built from portraits of his own family. One in particular tells the story of a man and a woman who are not a couple: he is her grandfather, and she, still a child in these pictures, is now the author's mother. The back of one of her portraits reads: Vimeiro 1968. It is the Portuguese west coast, the place where the battle with the French was fought at the beginning of the nineteenth century.
