In the series Lost Souls, begun in 2013, the subject — or the object — can loosely be described as landscape, but it feels like much more. As in the evolution of shanshui painting, nature here serves as a metaphor or a vehicle for conveying a state of mind: the maker's own, but equally that of his generation, of the society he lives in, of the general aura of the times. The book also includes a medley of Obsessed and of his more recent Ficciones, making its strongest appeal through an underlying sense of confirming the existence of a world outside ourselves.
