Vertigo is a change in the relation of an individual with the space around them, perceived as a subtle sensation of dizziness. It can be seen simply as the fear of falling into the void: a condition in which we find ourselves deprived of our will and our intentions, and unable to attribute sense and use to things.

The self, faced with the anguish produced by pure aesthetic contemplation, loses its projects and its objectivity and is invaded by a swarm of distinct essences with no precise position in space. That reality appears here as a series of mirages whose meaning can only be found in the process of letting oneself go.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is a digital platform dedicated to independent photobooks, photography publications, design books, and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
