Organised by the Natural History Museum in London, Wildlife Photographer of the Year is one of the most prestigious annual international competitions for work made in the natural world.

This volume — a spectacular window onto the wonders of nature, and onto its fragility — presents the hundred finalist images of the 2023 edition, chosen from 49,957 entries from ninety-five countries, with around thirty countries represented in the pictures, divided into sixteen categories that celebrate the nature of the planet and its relation with people. The selection is made by an international jury of experts on the grounds of invention, artistic value and technical complexity.
