Saiful Huq Omi began documenting the lives of the Rohingya almost a decade before this volume and has shown their stories in different parts of the world. It honours the mission of strengthening the identity of a community under threat and adds to its collective memory, showing its traditions, raising awareness and telling stories of abuse and tragedy. Above all it shows an incredible commitment to the struggle of these people, and a level of humanity that is necessary in turbulent times.
