In 1987 Luciano Viti managed what remains one of the most significant events in the history of music photography: sittings with two legends of jazz, Miles Davis and Chet Baker. In the usual ten minutes allowed him he made a set of portraits, intense and aching, that would pass into history. For the first time, after more than twenty-five years, the pictures were published.
