A special edition issue curated, designed and published by AVARIE, Paris, and Labor Neunzehn, Berlin. It accompanies the KAMERA programme while remaining an independent object to collect. The central idea that directs the montage of these small volumes is the interplay between addition and subtraction: a missing image from the projection, or an unreleased second taken from an artist's work, expanded over twenty-four pages, with a piece removed directly from the show enclosed in every copy. The editing sets up a dialogue between frames and performed writings drawn from texts, scripts, storyboards and notes, so that the exhibition is extended into a physical space.

KAMERA is a programme of experimental moving images and printed matter held in a former GDR building in Berlin. Each event shows a retrospective of one artist over four days, alongside a small display of their publications or works on paper, and sets out to foster a critical dialogue between different formats.

Lina Selander's moving images and installations can be read as compositions or as thought models, in which ideas and conditions are explored and weighed. She examines the relations between memory and perception, between still and moving pictures, and between language and image, and her work amounts to a dense store of observations, at times in dialogue with other works, with art or with literature.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is a digital platform dedicated to independent photobooks, photography publications, design books, and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
