The book showcases the exhibition Jaume Plensa. Inner Matter at Espacio Fundación Telefónica, through texts by the artist himself and the evocative images of photographer David Jiménez, which immerse us in the atmosphere of the show and bring us closer to the contemplative experience of the artwork . In the exhibition organized by Fundación Telefónica, Jaume Plensa offers an invitation to slow contemplation that is echoed in the rhythm of the book—an intimate and poetic approach to Plensa’s creative universe. A tempo in which the careful observation of light, material, or the implied sound connects us with the beauty and mystery of the human condition . The book will be available at the Espacio Fundación Telefónica store ( Fuencarral 3 ) and in specialized bookstores starting July 14 . The exhibition, which has welcomed more than 287,000 visitors since its opening, can be visited free of charge at the Telefónica building until September 7, 2025 .

ABOUT

The project

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.

Images and rights

Covers, interior pages and descriptions are shown to introduce and identify the books, always crediting publisher, author and photographer and linking back to the publisher. We ask publishers for their permission, and we remove anything on request within 7 days. If you are a publisher, an author or a photographer and you want something changed or removed, write to info@spineindex.it.
