Published in conjunction with Viviane Sassen's exhibition "Mirrors & Portals" held at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris (18 October 2023 – 11 February 2024). Bringing together more than 200 works and retracing 30 years of creation, Viviane Sassen — Mirrors & Portals offers an immersion in her photographic work, which mobilises intense colors, graphic games on light and shadow and surrealist aesthetics. The exhibition brings together the artist's iconic series — including "Umbra", "Parasomnia", "Flamboya" and "Roxanne" — and a selection of her fashion photographs, as well as her mixed media works combining photographic prints, paintings, collages and videos.
