In order to stay on course, I quickly attached myself to a story, that of a flourishing industrial past which was the heyday of this Hauts-de-France region.

What remains to be seen today from these multiple industrial adventures? A single brickyard still remains throughout the Beauvaisis territory, because like many territories in the North of France, the massive deindustrialization of the sector but also the advent of new modern materials, such as concrete, have caused almost all of these companies to collapse.

[…]

This heritage, preserved by certain owners aware of their historical value, is today, unfortunately, often left abandoned. And, with time doing its part, it was important to me to also keep a trace of it through this research notebook.
