Invited by the Pays du Clermontois to celebrate the sixty years of the community of communes, Cédric Martigny chose to question what constitutes “the common” within each of the eighteen communes which make up this geographical entity. The photographer went to meet those who study, create, work, rest, walk, welcome, discuss, live in Clermontois. These images composed and often inspired by genre scenes from classical painting transport us into a fantastic universe which magnifies the commitment of the actors who make up the life of this territory.
