The milling rooms, the architecture of which has not been modified since the sale of the activity, are particularly difficult to rehabilitate and are mostly abandoned or used as storage. There are numerous rehabilitation projects, some in progress, others remain unfinished.

I sought to bring out a human presence in these spaces where only the trace of a bygone past seems to remain. Through moving ghostly figures, I evoke new activities, real or fictitious, the transparency and stealth of bodies in a frozen architecture; metaphor for our transient activities.
