Road to the Farm brings together a collection of photographs taken by Ola Rindal over the years along the path leading to the farm of his childhood in Fåvang. Through nearly sixty images, it reveals subtle variations of light, seasons, atmosphere, and everyday gestures. The intimate experience of a place transforms, and a sense of the passage of time gradually emerges. ‘I walked this road every day. Through rain and snow, mist and darkness. Sunny summer days, mornings and evenings. The sound of gravel from the steps echoes back from the trees around. The heart pounding from fear of the dark. Year after year. It is part of me; the road runs through me like a frozen river. Away from the farm, back to the farm.’
