Saul Leiter: In Stillness is a project tracing the life of Saul Leiter through his workplace and living quarters and courtyard in the East Village, and the cherished belongings he left behind. In a small area of a few blocks lined with brick buildings, Leiter found the many beautiful things that surrounded him, as if embodying his own words that 'mysterious things happen in familiar places'. Through this work Yumiko Izu hopes to cast new light on the enigmatic life of Saul Leiter.
