Flower, the fourth volume in Sakiko Nomura's photobook project, gathers the feelings she invests in flowers. Though blossoms are generally thought of as beautiful things, here the flowers Nomura sees carry the meaning of offerings to the dead: blooms at graves, flowers laid at the sites of traffic accidents, withered stems, sex, artificial flowers, taxidermy and wax figures. The significance these subjects hold for her is immeasurable.
