Bizarroland is where the strange and the ordinary coexist—where a cracked porcelain doll might sit beside a box of rusted wrenches, and a taxidermy deer shares a shelf with a stack of 90s VHS tapes. Here, everything is for sale, everything has a price. Objects pass from hand to hand, recycled endlessly, waiting for someone to see their worth once again.

I travel to flea markets to explore, to wander, and to photograph. Each visit is unpredictable. Across the sprawl of booths and tarps and folding tables, I search for fragments of lives once lived, now arranged for resale. Some items are carefully displayed, curated with a sense of nostalgia or pride. Others lie in disarray, mixed in chaotic piles of forgotten value.

This book is not just about what’s for sale. It’s about what we leave behind. The objects we surround ourselves with. The things we treasure, discard, or rediscover. In the flea market’s endless churn, you can glimpse the shape of a society—not in its headlines or monuments, but in its junk drawers, attic boxes, and half—broken dreams.

Welcome to Bizarroland.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
