Mike Slack's second book of Polaroids charts a familiar but undetermined terrain through fragments of architecture, geology and space. Designed as a companion to Ok Ok Ok (2002), it begins with what appears to be a fallen asteroid and ends with what might be a stray, mythical dog, bookends to a travel narrative, or psychic puzzle, in which his mastery of the Polaroid medium infuses commonplace observations with hints of a lingering, otherworldly past.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
