Daniel Blaufuks undertakes a journey to Theresienstadt. Prompted by a photograph in a book by W. G. Sebald and pushed in this direction again by the diary of a Jewish man from the 1920s and 30s, he begins his research on the ghetto. The texts and images in this book come together as an exhibition. It contains photographs, manuscript pages from the diary of Ernst K. and historical documents as well as numerous stills from the propaganda film “Der Führer schenkt den Juden eine Stadt”. Blaufuks collects and arranges the historical material, but also alienates it and sets his own contemporary photographs of Theresienstadt beside it.
