Between 1979 and 1984, Avedon made numerous trips through the region and photographed over 800 subjects, of which about 120 were included in the final exhibition. Parr & Badger, vol. 2, p. 38. Folio. Black and white full page photographs throughout. Original tan cloth lettered in black, mounted photographic portraits on each cover. With the original acetate dust jacket. Fine in fine dust jacket.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
