Following his Kimura Ihei Award-winning okinawan portraits 2010-2012, this book looks back at Ryuichi Ishikawa's not-too-distant past: an intense photographic record of his blazing twenties. It echoes the best of a zine, its pocket size barely able to contain the content: the trappings of a wild Okinawan youth, hot tropical nights among friends as screaming motorcycles blast past, blurs of indifference to society, parties and women, fire and noise. It is a book of an endless night of outbursts and crazed drunkenness, punctuated by graphic sexual encounters of all kinds. The book opens with a poem and closes with another, in which Ishikawa lusts after the cry of life, and adrenamix protests against anything less than a hunger to roar it out.
