Through personal experience, the author examines mortgages, shrinking living spaces, and the gap between official rhetoric and everyday reality. The cover is bright orange, printed with tables of figures and dates that resemble a payment schedule, with the title in black at the top right. The Dummy Award, organised by the PhotoBookMuseum in Cologne, shortlisted 48 unpublished dummies from about 325 entries from more than 45 countries; the shortlist travels on a world tour of photography events and venues.
