Photobook dummy by Ayame Ono (Japan), shortlisted for the Dummy Award 2026. The book is about a practice of cutting and reassembling images of stones, exploring time, material and chance. It brings together works and texts around stone, scissors and paper, along with layers of images generated by unexpected errors. The cover is a silver reflective foil under a clear PVC jacket, with a cut-out photograph of a grey stone overlaid by a rectangle of multicoloured horizontal glitch stripes. The Dummy Award, organised by the PhotoBookMuseum in Cologne, shortlisted 48 unpublished dummies from about 325 entries from more than 45 countries; the shortlist travels on a world tour of photography events and venues.
