The second book Keizo Motoda made with M label, with 51 pictures taken between 2007 and 2010. 'Capella' is the brand name of a Mazda car, sold abroad as the Mazda 626, which came out in 1970. On the endpaper is a snapshot of Motoda's mother holding her two-year-old son beside a brand-new Capella, taken by his father to mark the purchase; his father died soon afterwards and he keeps only a dim memory of him. Around 1996 Motoda began photographing people on the streets of Tokyo with a 6x7 medium-format camera, and since about 2005 he has photographed dancers, musicians and bikers who gather on Sundays in Harajuku with a panorama camera. He turned to cars on the advice of the publisher, who suggested black-and-white 4x5 negatives, and this book follows the earlier series Motodablack.
