Basilico writes that once the world began moving faster, reality and the image of the world folded into one another until they became almost indistinguishable; from a certain point in history onward, the world coincided with its own image. This substantial retrospective grew out of a collaboration between Basilico and a curator together with a group of younger photographers, extending his inquiry into the photographic image of landscape into a wider, intergenerational conversation.
